A mommy makeover is a combination of plastic surgery procedures customized to your unique needs, most commonly addressing the two areas most affected by pregnancy and childbearing: the breasts and stomach. The most common combination includes breast augmentation and breast lift along with a tummy tuck, though procedures like liposuction or labiaplasty are common additions as well.
Who is a Candidate for a Mommy Makeover?
Good candidates for a mommy makeover are people who are unsatisfied with their appearance after pregnancy and childbirth, including skin laxity of the stomach and breasts, and are in good general health with a stable weight. In many cases, combining procedures is the most effective way to address multiple areas of concern in a single recovery period.
Ideal Candidates for a Mommy Makeover in Vaughan are:
- In good overall health, with a stable weight for at least 6 months
- Have completed childbearing and are finished breastfeeding
- Bothered by changes to the breasts and/or abdomen following pregnancy

Mommy Makeover Recovery
Because a mommy makeover combines more than one surgical procedure, recovery is more involved than a single procedure alone. Most patients need at least one to two weeks of downtime, with complete recovery taking around 6 weeks. Heavy lifting and exercise should be avoided during this time, so arranging childcare and help around the house in advance is important.
